lunch: spagettios, butter bread, cheese slices, fruit salad (all ate well for both meals except Paige didn't eat much at lunch)

Great day! All are in good moods (Paige is a little fussier than usual but I think it's because of her cold) The big boys played very well together this morning and Paige and Landon hung out together.

We painted christmas trees today and decorated them with stickers. Hayden and Bryce also helped me with making a green treat for preschool tomorrow. They each made their own christmas wreath treat and then ate it (they had a blast!)

All the kiddos were very sleepy this morning!!! Lots of rubbing eyes!

They played very well today (big boys played a lot upstairs with choo choo's and little ones played well together!) We took a field trip to pick up my turkey at my mom's. They enjoyed our little ride!

We read some books today and did a lot of free play time.

All in bed by noon! Hayden ate a ton today!

tuesday

No pics today we were out and about all morning!!!

Lunch: spagetties, butter bread, pineapple, milk

All ate well for both meals

Since I just had Paige and Landon after dropping Bryce off at school we went to Target and walked around in the double stroller. The kids were sooooo good. Paige was so funny, she kept pointing at toys and saying "I want that" and "Elmo" haha

The little ones played well after lunch and went down for naps at noon.

I guess it will be just the four of them again tomorrow, sounds like Hayden is still bad (poor little guy)

We will be taking a short field trip over to my mom's to pick up my turkey tomorrow (don't worry I won't take the kiddos out of the car so they don't get any Vogt bugs :-)

Monday

Breakfast: pancakes, banana, milk (all ate well except Tristan)
Lunch: perogies, pinapple (fresh), yogurt, milk (all ate well)

Well the kiddos are dropping like flies today :-( Little Tristan was not feeling well this morning and basically laid on me and watched sesame street (after his tylenol kicked in he of course started running around and playing) Hope he's feeling better!

Hayden scared me to death with his "having a hard time breathing" episode!

Saying little prayers that all our kiddos are healthy for Thanksgiving!

We played lots today (stayed inside since all are either sick or on the mend) We played cars and diner. They played well for the most part today (although a little grumpy due to the sickies) The did puzzles. Tristan and Bryce played the elephant game for a while this morning before Tristan started with the fever.

We talked about leaves today and did a leaf wreath craft. We talked about Thanksgiving and what "Thankful" means. They had a hard time telling me what they are thankful for so I asked if they were thankful for their mommies and daddies and sisters and brothers. All said "yes" Then I had them raise their hands if they have a brother (Bryce did this and I helped Paige and Landon" then I asked them to raise their hand if they have a sister "and Tristan rose both so high and said "ME!!!!! I have Liddy (Lilly)" soooooooooooooo cute :-) oh and Hayden raised his hand too!

We sang and danced too!

All are asleep (Thomas got his motrin at 11) Tristan got Tylenol at 9:30 (I should be a doctor right?)

thursday

All ate very well!!! Tristan ate a whole sandwhich at lunch!

Great day! All are in very good spirits (except Landon whom is very very fussy!) and are playing very well together.

We took Bryce to school then went downstairs to play (no outside time today with the yucky weather) The kids (Hayden and Tristan especially) were very into crafts and arts today. They first made a prayer chain with stickers and then we practiced cutting (look out, Tristan is pretty good at it!) then they taped their links together. Later we went water color painting crazy!! They had a blast we painted turkey hand prints and did creative painting too.

I needed to start cleaning the house for Thanksgiving, so the kids helped me to straighten up downstairs and of course all "pretended" to vaccuum :-)

Great day! All are asleep!

breakfast: choc chip fiber 1 pancakes, milk, banana (all ate well, thomas ate 3 pancakes!)

Lunch: stuffed shells, apples, cheese, milk, choc gold fish crackers (all ate well, Thomas didn't eat too much but that was because of his huge breakfast!)

Fun day! I took it upon myself to change batteries in all toys that were dead. Wow the kids acted like it was Christmas, they played with all the toys like they were brand new! So we did a lot of playing today! We played farm, basket ball (we placed a bucket around the room), cars, blocks, telephone.

Hayden and Bryce helped me to package up our "operation Christmas child" gifts. They both were super excited that a little boy who has nothing is getting a bunch of cool stuff. They filled out their info sheets about themselves that I'm going to put in the box. The little ones were trying out some of the toys and the big boys would tell them, "no no! these are for the little boy!" heehee

We then went outside and blew bubbles (haven't done that in a while and it was a hit!) we also played lots of frisby (or as Bryce would say "frosby")

Hayden and Bryce played nicely upstairs after lunch until nap time again :-)

Thomas was a little grumpy today (not sure if it was from his shot yesterday?) He would actually cry on and off for no reason??? Paige seemed a little sleepy this am.

Thomas and Paige need diapers soon!

All ate well for both meals and once again I had to feed everyone around 10:30!!!

Busy morning, we took Bryce to school. Then we came home and talked some more about thanksgiving. Tristan made his turkeys. Hayden practiced square drawings while we all counted the sides. We also talked about big and little and made big and little squares.

Later we made pumpkin pie (pretend) each kiddo got a plate and I put some yellow and red finger paint on it and they swirled it around to discover that it made orange (the color of pumpkins)

We read our 1,2,3 thanksgiving book and counted some more.

We then went outside for a good big (sunshine again!) and played until lunch

monday

Lunch: mac n cheese, pb crackers, apple sauce and milk (all ate again very well)

Well I thought this morning was going to be perfect because the weather is terrific, but to my surprise we had a lot of grumpy kiddos today :-( Not too bad, but had a lot of fighting over toys (Bryce was sent to his room) and lots of little ones wanting held a lot instead of playing. I also had to feed lunch at 10:30 (because Paige and thomas were standing outside at the door licking it!!!!) I thought for sure they wouldn't eat well at 10:30 but I guess they were starving because everyone ate a ton!

After lunch the little ones played very well in the playroom while Hayden and Bryce finally played well upstairs with their choo choo's.

We made turkeys today :-) and talked a little more about thanksgiving. We read our new thanksgiving books from the library and did the weather and date. Sang some songs outside. We did get out for a while and they had fun most of the time running around in the sunshine!

As you can see Thomas was stripped down after lunch time (I also had to wash pb out of his hair!) haha

Good day except for the incident where Tristan bit Landon :-( Ughh what to do with him and Bryce about biting???? He was sneeky about it too (did it in the tent where I couldn't see him)

Other than that good day. Took bryce to school this morning, they all played very well downstairs when we got home. We did the weather, date, and sang song and danced. They loved the tent today too! We tried to go outside for a little (but it was really cold!) They got about 15 minutes of fresh air and time to run around. We came back in and played some more till lunch time.

Didn't get too much curriculum done today because they were playing so good (don't mess with a good thing) Maybe we'll get some done when they wake up from naps!

Hayden and Bryce played awesome again today after lunch up in Bryce's room (trains) I tried to let Tristan up but he only lasted 10 minutes before the big boys were hollering (just too little yet to play alone with them) He wasn't happy but took it ok when I let him and Landon play with their own choo choos downstairs.

Still need some clothes for Thomas other than that we are good to go!

wednesday

lunch: eggs with cheese, apples, yogurt, milk

What a blahhh day it is!! Tried to shake things up a bit since we were stuck inside and made a fort upstairs then set up the tent and tube downstairs. We read books, colored and did lots of stickers today. We talked about what "silly" is and did things that were "silly" and circled all the "silly" things on a picture.

We also watched Sesame Street because the all new season started this week!!!

As the morning wore on I noticed the bigger boys getting bored. I allowed them to go up to Bryce's room to play. I was expecting the worst but they were sooooooooooooooo good! They played up there for a half hour before lunch and an hour afterward. I checked on them every 15 minutes and they were actually having conversations. They played trains, blocks, puzzles (oh Bryce had a wonderful time teaching Hayden how to do "big boy" puzzles and showing him where the pieces go). When I finally went up to tell them it was nap time they were sitting on Bryces bed playing with his stuffed animals. They even helped me to clean up all the toys (ahhhhhhh they are finally getting old enough to "play" together without killing each other) Now if only Bryce could play with Landon like that!

Cutest thing of the day: Bryce was crying because he wanted his airplane to sleep with but I already told Hayden he could sleep with it. Hayden said to me "Ashy I don't want Bryce to be sad" he ran over to his room and gave him his airplane!" cute!

The little ones are all in good moods, played very well together. Thomas is a poop machine today (3 times this morning!)

Oh and I need more clothes for Thomas

Good day! We took Bryce to school and then came home and played downstairs. We colored our flash cards again and I quizzed Tristan and Hayden and they both did excellent! We did the weather and date and read some books. Then went outside the rest of the morning until it was time to pick up Bryce. It looks yucky out but the temp is actually pretty high.

Everyone is in good moods and played well all mornings. No big fights at all. Tristan is getting so good at time out all I have to say is "Tristan sit on time out" and he runs right over sits and of course pouts!! He was attacking Bryce and wouldn't let him alone (role reversal right?!)

Oh and some pics are from yesterday afternoon when Bryce and Hayden wanted to play school bus (so cute!)

Monday

lunch: stuffed shells, yogurt, clementines, choc gold fish for dessert. (Everyone except Landon ate well, Paige wasn't into the clementines but the other 3 boys gobbled them right up!)


Wonderful Day!!! Is it spring again??? Everyone is in an excellent mood.

All the kiddos are playing great together (although Bryce had a blow up at Hayden and bit his back) ughhhhhhhhhh He got a major time out and seemed sympathetic when I showed him his wounded soldier! He apologized and Hayden got bandaged up (so sorry Shana and Jer, he gets sooooo frustrated sometimes and just lashes out!!)

Otherwise did I mention awesome day??? We played downstairs for a little while this morning and did lots of crafty stuff like stickers, coloring, and gluing. Each kiddo got flash cards reviewing some letters, numbers, and colors. They had so much fun! I quizzed Hayden and Bryce and both got a 100%!!!

Outside the rest of the morning because it's 70 degrees and sunny. The kids ran around, swang, kicked balls, I tried to teach Hayden, Bryce and Landon how to play tag.

We even got to eat our lunch outside (they acted like this was a huge treat!) Then since we were still out they ran around until nap time.

thursday

Lunch: mac n cheese, pudding, apples, gram crackers with pb (Tristan only ate his pudding)

Great day!!! We took Bryce to preschool today then I had to go get gas in the van. When I asked the kiddos what we should do, Hayden said "I want to go to the mall" Well it was cold and dreary out and the stroller was in the trunk so I said "ok"

Since we only went from 9-10 the stores were still closed which was perfect. We got a front row parking spot, Landon and Paige sat in the double stroller and Hayden and Tristan helped me to push the stroller. WE walked all around the mall, road on the elevator (they loved that) then of course had to stop and take a few rides on the merry go round. Tristan and Landon were in love with the ride, Hayden wouldn't ride and told me he just had to watch. Paige rode once and was finished. After that we walked a little more and then came on home. No fits and everyone stayed with me :-) It was a nice little change.

We came home went downstairs and played until lunchtime.

All are in great moods and Bryce and Hayden are pumped for Disney on Ice tonight!!!

wednesday

Breakfast: fiber 1 choc chip pancakes, banana, milk (all ate great, Thomas and Paige once again 2 huge pancakes each!!!

Lunch: eggs with cheese, apples, yogurt, cookie for dessert (all ate well, They gobbled up my eggies and asked for "more pease!"

Great day, We played and I had some great helpers cleaning up the basement today (so cute how they pretend to vaccuum when I vaccuum!)

Bryce and Thomas did their apple trees today (went well) and They had a blast making the apples and gluing them on. However when we were done, Thomas grabbed all of his apples and ran away!!! haha

All the kiddos did a acorn tree coloring page, we counted the acorns and talked about squirels. We read our Library Thanksgiving Day books (Hayden really enjoyed these!) We of course did the weather and date too!

Outside for about an hour today. Chilly but very nice weather, thanks for bringing warmer coats for the kiddos!!! Outside time is crucial for all of us and I plan to take them out until it gets too cold or we have yucky weather!
