thursday

Good morning it was! Everyone ate well (cereal, whole grain poptarts, banana, milk for breakfast) (pb and white stuff (Lilly had spagettios), apples, cheese slices, yogurt, milk for lunch)

We got Bryce to school and then played up in the play room for a while (Tristan was trying his "I want to watch a movie thing" so I told him after nap we'll put one in) We then went down in the basement for a huge chunk of the morning and actually cleaned up a bit (toys were everywhere, so much that the kids acted like they didn't want to play) sure enough as soon as it was cleaned they wanted to play.

Jocelyn donated a barbie and a few other girl toys to my "daycare" so I was showing Lilly how to do Barbie's hair. She kept petting her, it was cute. We listened to music downstairs and I read some books to Lilly. The boys weren't interested in me today, Landon and Tristan acted like cats all morning and played in the castle play house (they were pretending to feed each other toys) at one point it got a bit out of control (hence why Tristan got a good wack on the head from a golf club) that's when I put golf clubs away and said no more kitties in the basement and Landon got a time out.

Lilly and Landon were much more calm around baby Kobe today (yeah!) I'm hoping the "newness" is wearing off. Landon seemed fine today had a bit of a runny nose so I'm thinking he's brewing something and when I put him down he said his head hurt.

We also colored for a while today. Picked up Bryce, ate lunch and then off to naps. I'm a drill sergeant these days with naps. No one (including Landon) threw any fits, there was no rocking or books read (I offered to read to Landon and Tristan a few times this morning and they didn't want to)

Mr. Kobe is a pig today! I'm trying to stick to the 2.5-3 hour feeding times, but he has eaten every 1.5 hours today!!! and they are full feedings, not much sleeping going on until right now, so hopefully I'll get a little break. It is so hard trying to stick to that baby book when you have a baby that doesn't want to follow the plan!

Bryce had a good day at school, I found out that he is allowed to bring a toy or 2 to play with but they need to know they could get lost or broken. Mrs. Knisely agreed that they make the kids "popular" with the other kids when they get to bring in something. She also said that if they are playing with them during structured time that then they have to put them on a special table for the rest of school time.

wednesday

The first part of the morning was great, but the hour before was not so great. For the first half the kids played so well (like crazy well) Jocelyn shared a car with Landon and Landon gave her one of his cars and Bryce shared and Landon gave him some cars as well. All was great, but then J decided she wanted her cars back and let's just say there was a lot of melt downs and chasing and on top of it I was feeding Kobe. We got through it and told them no cars out until Landon is sleeping for naps because it's hard for him to understand that sometimes he can have toys and other times he can't.

The funny part was, Jocelyn told me that it was her "brain" that didn't want to share, like she was having an argument between her heart and brain (because I kept telling her that it's nice to share toys with others) So that was very interesting.

Bryce and Jocelyn was very eager to get to school, drop off went well. Pick up went well also. They said it was a good day and Jocelyn got a lollypop from her friend Emma. We came home washed hands and had lunch. Oh by the way, she ate about half her breakfast and half of her lunch. Jocelyn said show and tell went good, Bryce said school was good and he played with Skylar and Brewer, I couldn't get Jocelyn to tell me too much about what she did or played with.

Bryce and jocelyn are playing great this afternoon (he really missed her) I know he really wants to play with her the entire afternoon, we'll see if he can last since he's still getting over his sickness (he's been fever free all day) I told him we'll try with no nap but then he's going to bed at 7 tonight.

Landon is up for nap (thank goodness, he's been a handful today!!!) So I think it's helping that the 3 year old who is having a hard time dealing with being the middle child is away from the 4 year olds.

Jocelyn hasn't had any fits like I saw her have yesterday (I have a feeling that was just for mommy :-) Aren't kids so sweet!

hope you are having a good day.
