Monday

Here's the boys playing Disney Jr. Zippety (it's a leapfrog thing like the wii) They had so much fun this morning and just played, played, played. They were up in Bryce's room for a good bit of the morning. They played dress up with boy costumes of course, then with the race track and Luke found the leapster and was going to town on that.

I asked if they wanted to go outside to play, nope. So I took Landon and Kobe out to swing for a bit while they played inside. We were out only for about 10 minutes and Landon ended up getting stung but I think a wasp? So back in we went.

The McKinley boys ate great, wish I could say the same for my two. We had pizza, grapes, strawberries, yogurt, chips, pretzels, and your kids begged for gummie snacks so of course we had those as a treat. Luke has reminded me that he loves lemonade (I will have to remember that for next time!)

They are down in the basement now playing tag, I'm off to round up a Landon for nap time (he's not going to be very happy with me.) hoping to do some coloring when he gets down for a nap

Tuesday

The flower sniffing pic of Ian is from yesterday!
It's been a great morning with the 6 kiddos. We played inside all day due to the rain showers. The kids played cars (of course) and trains. We also did school time and talked about where coffee comes from (this was part of my rainforest curriculum) they smelled and touched coffee beans and described them. We read aloud a book about the animals in a rainforest. Then in the book we pulled out the letters of the day S, L, and A. We practiced drawing those letters and writing our names. Landon and Lilly were being stubborn about tracing letters. However I did catch Landon trying to make letters on paper later on. Lilly got the letter L and A but was guessing about S. The big boys of course did great with the letters and little Ian came and went while we were doing the lesson (he's a bit young yet) Bryce and Tristan did very well with the story and I would ask them questions about it and have them guess words and they loved it.

WE also sang songs, danced, and played a game (they rolled a 6 sided die and then we would act out that animal. We also did the weather today.

Landon was a bit emotional this morning (plenty of melt downs!) Baby was great and slept from 9:30-12. Ian is in a great mood and him and Landon have been copying each other all day (sometimes not in a good way like when they tell Lilly, no that's mine!) Tristan and Bryce have been great and have been pretending and playing together very well all morning. No tv today until Lunch time. Lilly became a diva at lunch and just started getting crazy! She was having one of those 2 year old moments when they like to hear themselves scream and cry and whine.

Everyone ate very well today (except Lilly at lunch) she did drink and eat her yogurt though. Everyone went down for a nap at noon (Ian went happily to bed today) I don't think he likes sleeping in the basement, he's in my room today and Lilly is in the pack n play in the basement.

Tristan is laying on the couch in the playroom watching sprout and hopefully falling asleep soon!

Monday

I did take pics today (cute too) of the boys smelling the flowers outside but I have tons to upload from the weekend and didn't get around to it yet, maybe tomorrow I'll post them.

This was a great morning! The rain held off so we were outside from 9-11:30. We staying in our yard today because I wanted my gang to get back on schedule after a crazy weekend. Kobe took a nap from 9-11:30!!! The boys ran around, swang, played with moon dough, played cars, slid down the slide, I even attempted to paint the club house since we were out all morning. It actually went well considering Bryce helped me :-) While we painted Landon and Ian played with trucks right beside us. I'm hoping... if Kobe falls asleep soon.... to finish painting, but we'll see (it a lot more work than I thought it would be.

Ian ate breakfast well and then asked for a snack around 10. The kids had some crackers outside and then they all played very well. We had lunch around 11:45 but Ian wanted nothing to do with it and just drank. He kept saying " I go to bed bye" "nuk" so finally I gave in and put him to bed. He actually fussed today (don't know if he was beyond tired at that point because of being outside all morning or what) but as soon as I left the room he passed out. My two big boys were put to bed around 12:30 too because they were tired. I hope everyone sleeps long and hard today!

Bryce's Birthday Tuesday

Fabulous morning! Everyone is in a great mood and the weather is fantastic!

Everyone ate well for both meals today! Lilly loves her some grilled ham and cheese sandwich. She was a hungry girl today and asked for more dinner please.

Of course we had to have cupcakes for the birthday boy! We played outside a good bit of the morning, then the boys have been playing so nicely today inside. A dream come true type of day with no tv and just lots of sharing and pretending. Lilly has been hanging with me and Kobe most of the day and singing songs, I'm thoroughly enjoying her singing, but of course I"m not allowed to join in.

Monday

Well the boys (that don't live with me) have been a delight today! Sorry I can't say the same about Bryce and Landon. We had a busy weekend and I'm paying for it today. Off they will go for naps at noon along with Ian. You were right momma, it's only 11:15 and Ian looks like he's ready to lay down already. He's begging for his nuk nuk and keeps saying, "I go to bed."

Well other than my children acting like monsters, we had a great morning. The big boys played legos and cars inside most of the morning. I kept asking if they wanted to go outside because it's so nice out, but nope. I found that taking Ian and Landon outside did wonders for Bryce. He played much better when he was away from his younger bro. The McKinley boys were hungry guys today. They had pretzels for snacks and then ate a good lunch right afterward (everyone wanted lunch early today). They had pizza, yogurt, applesauce, and chips. It was funny asking what they would like, whatever one wanted the other did not.

They are eating as I type and watching Caliou on PBS kids. I'm hoping to play some games and do puzzles and color with the bigger boys once everyone is down for naps.

Kelly, Luke has been a chatter box today, I just love him. He's so sweet!!! He's been telling me all about his school, and how he's looking forward to Hershey Park, what games he has at home, etc. He took a bite of his pizza and said, "I love this!" I felt like I gave him a million dollar bill!

Ian has been his happy self today too. I've had to watch him like a hawk on the swing set (he thinks he's bigger than he is)

Matthew is also just very laid back today and going with the flow.

Thursday

I would post more pics but it's not letting me. We had a good morning today! So stinken hot out so we were only out from 9-10. We swang and then ran around under the Elmo sprinkler. They had a blast. Everyone is in their underpants and diapers now for lunch and play time until nap.

Everyone ate well today (waffles and banana for breakfast, pb and marsh sandwiches (mac n cheese), yogurt, cantelope, cheese sticks and juice for lunch) Tristan and Bryce put the food away today!

Everyone will be down for naps from noon until hopefully 3 today! I'm determined to get the baby to sleep when the big kids sleep and I think it's going to work today!!!! I need a break.... although it's not going to be a break I'm getting the house ready for the weekend.

Oh bring swim stuff for Tristan and Lilly for Sunday. WE'll have our big pool up, and a baby pool, sprinkler, and the new slip and slide out. Hoping to have the rock walls up for the swing set too!

Tuesday

As good of a morning as you can get with 6 wee ones! Actually everyone is in a great mood and barely any fighting, lots of playing. Everyone ate a good breakfast of whole grain choc muffins and milk with bananas, then lunch was spagettios for Lilly everyone else had pb and marsh on wheat bread, yogurt, and peaches. The peaches weren't a hit with the younger crowd today.

We played in the basement early this morning and then once Kobe was down for his late morning nap outside we went for a good hour and a half. After realizing that our playset has been attacked by yellow jackets we left the playground and went and played on the driveway with bikes, wagons, chalk, and water. The kids had a blast and all the play gave them a great appetite for lunch and they are all getting that zombied look that says: nap time is soon near (hurray!)

Monday

The morning has gone by fast and was fun! The kids all ate well for breakfast which was whole grain choc chip muffins (made with applesauce) and milk. When Matthew joined in they all played well for about a half hour inside. After I got Kobe down for a nap we went outside to play for over an hour. Ian is wearing sunblock, but Matthew didn't want anything to do with it or wearing a hat and told me "I'll be fine". Since it was still morning time I wasn't going to fight him.

They ran around, climbed on the swing set, swang, played with cars, in the sandbox, then to end things I filled the baby pool up with bubbles and water. They had a great time splashing around and playing in the bubbles. Matthew is so cute, he said "I don't want to get yucky wucky" and just watched the kids. My nephew was just like this last year, I wonder if by the end of the summer if he'll be more willing to get dirty/wet??? Wait until I get the shaving cream out (haha!) Although you probably like it that he enjoys staying clean and dry (I'm not normal!)

By about 11 the kids were hungry so we had an early lunch. B, L, and I stripped down into underwear and diapers and everyone washed their hands. Lunch was well eaten by all, whole grain CARS chicken nuggets, apples, yogurt (Matthew didn't want any), cheese slices, v-8 juice (Matt had his water)

They are now watching a bit of PSB kids and I'm going to try and get Landon and Ian down for naps around 1, then I'll get some art stuff out for the two older boys.

Oh and Mr. Ian is addicted to mulch, I had to keep after him outside to stay out of it.... Totally boy!

Oh and sorry not many pics of Matt (he wasn't into getting his pic taken)
