Monday

It was a good morning here!  

Alexa was a grump a lump after drop off.  I got her to eat her breakfast quick but she kept signing for sleep.  So she went up in her pack n play from 7:30-8:45, I don't think she slept but she was a changed baby after her much need QT! haha

Drop off went well.  Ian ate a good breakfast too.  Then we all went outside for an hour to play.  It was chilly but the sun was shining and the kids played so well.  We swang, ran around, played ball, sang songs, colored with chalk (well Kobe ate it!)

Came in and played in the play room while I got lunch together.

We ate lunch at 11 and everyone ate super well.  Babies had mac n cheese (whole grain with carrots), yogurt, fruit, pb crackers (sorry they have the same thing every day but they LOVE that mac n cheese and yogurt is always a winner!)

Actually Ian had the same thing to eat for lunch too!!!

The kids are now watching some kid songs until it's time to pick up Bryce.  I think everyone is beat from the weekend so naps will begin at noon today :-)

Alexa is out of fruit (I have lots of bananas, and applesauces though) and her milk is low.

Friday

** Just a reminder it's pay day today, I haven't checked bags yet because I just got home

I got home around 11 and everyone was sitting eating lunches.  Kyle said the morning went smoothly.  Alexa rested/napped for about an hour and then they played all morning down in the basement because it's so chilly outside today.

Alexa wouldn't eat her breakfast for Kyle until after her rest time.  So she ate around 9:30 her cereal and fruit.  She then ate a good bit of mac n cheese with veggies at 11 but nothing else probably because she wasn't hungry yet.  I'll give her some yogurt and fruit after her afternoon nap.  She seems very happy and is playing nicely in the play room.

The Mattlin kiddos are good too!  Both ate well for lunch and have been playing with Mr. Kyle all morning!

Now I feel bad I don't have any pics of Aiden but he wasn't around when I was snapping them.

Syd ate carrots and peaches (you gave me peaches not pears hope that's ok) for lunch (woofed them actually), and drank 6 oz at 10;45.  She took an hour nap this morning from 9-10.  2 little poops (very little) and is a happy little zebra today.  Landon has been loving her up and keeps asking to hold "him"

Lana and Lilly have played great with their babies today, well until 11 when they both started to get sleepy.  They ate well (mac n cheese, yogurts, applesauce, chocolate milk for lunch)  We went outside for an hour this morning to play.  We sang, swung, ran around, and they of course played with their dollies.

Aiden played his leapster and legos just about all morning (he love's our lego game)  He also colored his star wars picture but wasn't interested in going outside, so I had him on "listen for Syd" duty while he played.

The big boys sound like they had a great day at school.  Oh FYI no more drinks are needed for Tristan and Landon's preschool snacks for the rest of the year.

Came home from pick up and the big boys ate lunch and then played wii for a half hour.  Landon is up in his room now, Bryce is out in the living room and Aiden and Tristan are downstairs for some QT.  I'm planning on putting a disney movie on in about an hour.  

Both Vogt girls need diapers !!

Wow so nice out today!!!

Miss Alexa wasn't too interested in her cereal and fruit this morning and was gagging on it and she was fussing and signing for sleep (at 7:20) haha.  So I said, okie dokie, let's give you some alone time before we have to take B to school.  She went up from 7:45-8:45 and either slept or played quietly.  Whatever it was she needed it.  She's been so pleasant the rest of the morning!  Drop off went well and the rest of the morning we went outside to play!!!  We got dirty in the sand box, swang, played in the play house, slid down the slide, bubbles, running, push toys!  

Alexa did get her first time out from Miss Ashley today :-(  Just 1 minute on a chair because she kept poking Kobe's eyes when he was trying to come in "her" playhouse.  I actually freaked out a bit because the one time her finger must have caught his eye lid and it turned it inside out (gross!)  he looked very strange but didn't cry until I fixed it.

We also sang lots of songs outside too.  Did I mention it's beautiful out??  I wish the whole summer was like this 68 and sunny!

We came in and had lunch at 11:30.  Alexa woofed down her wheat mac n cheese with veggies.  Ate a few pears, and a little piece of cheese, some pb crackers, and yogurt

She hasn't taking too many sips of water/milk

Oh and she is working on a #2 as I type, just a very wet diaper up until now!

Tuesday and baby is growing up!

Good day except it's a bit chilly out!

Syd napped from 9-10:30, ate her sweet potatoes and cereal great around 10:45, but the little stinker doesn't seem to want her bottle??  Weird.  I tried it around 11:15 and she would suck a little then spit it out and kept doing it???  Hmmmm, after I type this up I'm going to try again.  She's acting fussy now so I don't know if she is sleepy or hungry or what is going on.  She did have a little skid of poo in her diaper so maybe she has to poop??  I am hoping she will stay up until 1 for a nap and then nap 1-3 and be ready to eat again at 3 we shall see if this happens!  

She is such a big girl.  I know you told me but I was still thinking she just turned 4 months!  She is almost 6!!  Away went my swing and bouncy today (she barely uses them) and out came the exersaucers today!  She loves it!  And she loves that the kids play with her in it!  She actually plays with the toys too!

Lilly and Kobe played this morning, watched kidsongs (of course) and we went outside and swang and blew bubbles.  Lilly ate all her mac n cheese with veggies and yogurt for lunch.  She drank an entire cup of chocolate milk too (everyone got chocolate milk at lunch thanks to your donation!)  

Boys had crackers, cheese slices, grapes, yogurts and milk for lunch and ate well.

Oh my gosh wait until you hear what Tristan has to say about his new friend "hairy" his plant he made at school!  haha I was laughing when he was explaining to me how to take care of him!  He's so cute!

Planning on putting lilly in my room, Syd is going to start sleeping in a pack n play upstairs today for the afternoons.  Lilly is going up soon around noon with Kobe!

Yucky rainy day!!  blah!!

It was a good rainy morning.  My bff Jen and her 2 wee ones came over for a play date.  Reid got along great with Alex and Kobe (he's 9 months older than Alexa).  We played up stairs after breakfast then went to the basement to play.  Drop off for school went good.  I even had to take the kids to CVS for a quick trip to pick up Kobe's vitamins.  I had A and K in the double stroller and Landon walked.  Went very well!!  

We did puzzles, animal sounds, sang, listened to music and played with lots and lots of toys!  Alexa and Kobe were really into talking on the phone today.

Alexa ate a great breakfast and ok for lunch (same as all last week)  is she doing that for you??  She had her cereal and fruit for breakfast and for lunch made grilled cheese (didn't touch it), yogurt (ate all of that), her fruit (ate half), drank a little milk and then got out the pb crackers (she loves those!)  Plus I've noticed the pb makes her drink more milk! 

We ate lunch around 11 and then picked up Bryce and now are home watching a little kidsongs and playing in the play room.  Hoping for long afternoon naps from all 4 kiddos today.  Alexa looks like she's trying to build a tent out of blankets and pillows!

Oh and so far 1 big poop from her and I'm hoping for another before nap!

Well the early part of the morning went well.  The kids all played down in the basement for a good part of the day.  Then we came up and played the barn yard game (which took a half hour)  These 3 aren't very good at memory yet! haha.  I had to chuckle because they weren't getting a strategy but they had fun and it took up a lot of time.  We sang "old mcdonald too!"  The girls played babies most of the morning while Aiden played trains.  We didn't even have time for a craft with me trying to keep Kobe busy and get Syd fed and down for naps.

Lana had 2 time outs today and Kyle gave Aiden 1.  Lana was picking, picking, and picking on Kobe!  Hoping it just meant she needed a nap.  I put her up in Bryce's bed today.  Kyle said Aiden was outside picking on Lana and kicking toys around (i'm guessing he was bored and was finding that as something to do?)

Miss Syd is being a handful (so is Kobe!)  I tried cereal at 9:30 but I'm guessing she was overly hungry and was just screaming at the spoon.  After trying for 10 minutes I gave up and fed her bottle.  She drank the entire thing.  Poor baby had 2 skids in her diaper today but no poop and I'm guessing that's what's making her so cranky (poor girl needs to poop!)  She napped from 10-11 and woke up screaming like she was in pain.  She screamed from 11-12 with Kyle and I taking turns trying everything from changing her to feeding her to burping her to trying to get her to poop.  She finally passed out and I just now here her starting to fuss.  Maybe she just needed more sleep?  I will try her veggie now that she's up and then give her a bottle and praying she poops!  haha

The girls and Kobe are down for naps and I'm getting ready to make the boys have quiet time.  Well gotta go... it's been a crazy day!

Wednesday

Good morning! We spent the majority of it in the basement playing up a storm. Did some puzzles and read some books. Ian and Landon watched CARS 2 and reenacted the entire movie. Alexa and Kobe had a blast getting every toy out that they could find! We cleaned up and then headed outside for an hour. Again lots of fun swining, running around, and playing.

I am seeing drastic improvement with Alexa and her independence this week. Like when we were outside her and Kobe were playing in the sandbox and usually when I walk down to the patio she freaks out and starts crying and running toward me but today she was like "see ya" I came down the whole way to the patio thinking she would follow but nope, I had to actually go get her (never happened usually she is stuck to my hip)

We had lunch (Bryce got a ride home today so that was nice) and then the babies played until they pooped, had story time, sang some songs and off to bed by 12:30. Morning went by quickly!

Alexa pooped 2 times, ate a great breakfast and not so much for lunch (this is the trend this week) I offered her strawberries/pears, grilled cheese, she did eat all her yogurt, and then got out the pb crackers again and she had a few of those (at least the crackers are whole wheat and the pb is protein right???) Didn't drink too much today but had 2 soaked diapers.

Ian was great today but his toileting was off! haha. First he started to pee but I caught him and he finished on the potty (totally my fault for not putting him on the potty) I remember I wanted to at 9:30 but forgot and 10 was the accident. Then he came over to me outside walking funny and I totally knew he went #2! OMG poor kiddo, that was the biggest rock I've ever seen come out of a tiny hiny!!! Seriously I'm not kidding, it clogged my toilet and took 5 flushed and 5 plunging sessions to get that sucker down!!! He must feel better! Him and Landon were BFF's today and played excellent. He ate sooooooooooo good! 3 muffins with milk for breakfast and a grilled cheese, apple sauce, and fishies for lunch. He was such a good helper for clean up time too!

Tuesday

It's noon and both babes are still going strong! We played a ton outside this morning (no water it was a bit too chilly) They still had a blast. We sang some songs and they got into everything. Around 10 they started to get a bit grumpy but it was too late for a nap so we had a little snack and some water and took a walk in the double stroller (they loved it!) peace and quiet for a whole 30 minutes!! Ahhhhh :-)

Came home and picked up the boys from preschool. yesterday and today has been so calm with only have Alexa in the morning, the Mattlin's come in the Pm.

Babes had chili (Alexa spit that out) some mac n cheese then (had a few bites and then spit that out too) she ate the rest of her pears for the week and wasn't into the canteloup I gave her, ate all her yogurt so then I got desperate and she woofed some wheat crackers with pb!!! She ate very well for breakfast though.

She hasn't taken much water or milk today and I've been offering it on and off all day. She's had 2 soaked diapers and 1 #2 so she must be drinking plenty in the evenings!

They are playing in the playroom now as I type and then I'm hoping to get them down around 12:30/1:00ish (hoping for them both to go poop first! haha

Oh mission accomplished, I'm getting whiffs and Alexa is hiding :-)

Monday

Awesome morning! The outdoor activities totally kept them occupied and fuss free! It's 12:10pm and both are still up! After I get done the blog I'll put them up for a nap (hoping it's a good long one) I think both are actually pooping right now (yeah) so at least poops won't wake them up this afternoon!

Alexa ate all her cereal and fruit for breakfast. Her and Kobe both weren't into lunch very much today. She ate a lot better than him. She had all her yogurt, most of her pears, a little pizza, and some pb crackers. I got her to take about 2 oz of milk in her cup.

The babes LOVED the dinky pool. You would have thought they were at disney world! haha. Splashing and squealing. Alexa then of course had to go in the sandbox and she was an absolute mess! After play time was over I washed her off and got her into new clothes, her wet clothes are hanging outside to dry.

Oh I also put a pair of crocs on her today for the pool time (good thing too because she would have got her sneakers totally soaked.) If you have pool shoes please bring them unless you don't care if she uses ours. Crocs have antimicrobial surfaces supposedly. I have extras in every size.

She also has her sunscreen on today too.

Lots of fun, now off to read some books and get some little ones to bed!

Thursday

Busy and fun morning! We did art class today! :-) Talked about April and how it rains a lot in April and then they painted (babies did baby markers) Kobe was more interested in eating the markers.

We played and read books, sang songs, and listened to music today. Did some puzzles too with animals on the farm and went over animal sounds.

Alexa ate well for breakfast and not so much at lunch. I gave her banana, mac n cheese, grilled cheese, the only things she would eat were pb crackers and yogurt though.

Big kids had sandwiches and mac n cheese with fruit, and yogurts.

My big sis had off work today so brought her crew over to play too. Big girls were fighting a bit today. Lana needs a nap bad so I've been prepping her for one at noon (when I'm planning to put babies to bed too)

Alexa had a yucky poop today but I caught it fast so her behind still is looking pretty good!

Aiden played on his own for most of the early morning. Now that the big kids are home (and Bryce has a buddy over) he's a happy guy, they are having a little play time up stairs now before the little ones go down for naps. Then are going to be eating lunch and playing down in the basement for the rest of the day.
