Thursday

Great Day! Mr. Zach and Kobe played for just about a half hour or so before they were both ready for AM naps. Down by 10:00am and not a peep out of Z (wish I could say the same for K) must be that NUK, but the big guy slept solid until around 12.

Faith and Miss Shelly joined us this morning for a playdate with Lilly. The girls had a fun day and did some coloring and stickers. They are so much a like! They had oranges and fishies for snack and loved dining together at the kitchen table for lunch. They both ate well and got some marshmallows for a treat.

The big boys played race cars all morning. Bryce and Tristan had me video tape them so they could watch themselves. Already spoke with Alicia about having Tristan spend the night Sunday since B doesn't have school Monday.

Zach ate a little more than half his peas then did the spit out thing (see picture!) He ate all of his applesauce and half his sandwich. 2 wet diapers so far (but wowza did he have some major gas sounds when I laid him down for his nap!) He's playing happily with Kobe now in the playroom (they are playing/eating musical instruments). Oh FYI he loves elmo and tried to eat my t.v. when I put him on!

Big boys at school went well, I still have to go through bookbags. All big kids are down for naps/rest time.

Tuesday

Great day! All kiddos are in great moods! The morning went by so fast. Drop off for preschool went smooth and Kyle came home and picked the boys up.

As you can see the big boys played Spiderman all day.

I did "school" time with Miss Lilly today. We are going with the Farm theme this week since we are visiting the Farm show tomorrow. We talked about the letter F for farm and T for Tractor. What we see on a farm. Then she practiced coloring and gluing for her crafts. We sang Old Mc Donald's farm and of course she got to watch Barney's Farm DVD because it fit into our theme so perfectly.

Mr. Zach did terrific today! He cracks me up, I was actually in tears at one point and him and Kobe were looking at me like I was nuts. I was nursing Kobe on the couch and Zach was crawling under the table I think I lost count how many times he tried to stand up under the table and banged his head. I know I shouldn't have laughed but he never cried and they weren't hard thumps and I was kind of stuck on the couch at the time, but finally he got it that he had to crawl out. Then around 1:30 he kept falling over. I'm guessing he does this when he's sleepy since it was close to his afternoon nap time. Seriously he kept falling but was insistent on standing right back up to just fall down again (he looked drunk!). Ok now that Christina thinks I'm a horrible babysitter for laughing at her child injuring himself we'll move on.

Everyone ate pretty good. Tristan and the big boys didn't eat much for lunch (but that's usual for after school). Lilly sat at the table for over an hour drinking her juice, I finally gave in and held her cup up for her (lazy girl!) Zach ate almost all his lunch, he was getting a kick out of having Kobe beside him and Lilly loved making the baby boys giggle. I had to switch sippy cups for Zach because he wasn't drinking much of his milk from the one I gave him but then it went right down with the new one.

Lilly had a #2 and Zach had 2 wet diapers. Big kids down for naps at 12:45pm (Lilly is napping in the basement in the tent) she fell right to sleep. My big boys swapped bedrooms for the day.

Baby's down for naps at 2pm. Barely any fussing from either of them.

Zach and Kobe are funny because even though their size is so different they are exactly the same intellectually. It's like they are the same baby in a different body. They both sound exactly the same and do the same funny things. They were both having a squealing and screeching sound match today.

Monday

All the kids ate well today:

Elliott had chia muffins, banana, and milk for breakfast (he said he didn't like the milk??) For snack at 10 they had some dry cereal.
Lunch was whole grain mac n cheese, pb crackers, grapes, and yogurt.

Oliver ate well too! Add grapes for his lunch today.

Elliott had 2 stinky diapers this morning (I thought he wasn't finished and asked if he wanted to use the potty but no go! Oliver just had 1 wet diaper.

Free play went well with the 2 wee ones. The 2 older ones weren't into playing early this AM. I think it was related to the not sleeping well for both of them last night. However school went great! We started with Mother-goose time songs (via my new cd player in the kitchen!) They loved it especially Oliver and Kobe they danced an clapped. Then the little ones played in the play room while the big boys had their instructional time. We talked about the farm show and what we are going to see. Did the letter F for Farmer and T for tractor. We sang old McDonald's Farm. Made a horse craft and glued together a tractor picture. Landon gave me some problems today with participation, but I've decided to stay firm since he's almost 4! He was using a lot of helplessness again! Elliott enjoyed the activities.

After "school time" the boys all had snack. Kobe was being lazy again but I was still excited that he ate 6 puffs without gagging! Baby steps!

More free play (and they all 4 played great!) then off to pick up Bryce. Came home and washed hands, prayer, lunch, then off to nap time. We are going to try Elliott down in the basement in the tent for nap?? We shall see how this goes, I'll give him 2 warnings then he'll be put in a pack n play.

Great day!

Friday

It was a good morning! The big boys found all the puppets and were putting on a puppet show for the babies throughout the morning. So stinken cute and the babies LOVED it! They sang songs to us and everything.

They also did a lot of playing with choo choo trains today and then Elliott discovered our CARS race track and him and Landon had races.

We did school time at the big table due to the wee ones interfering. We talked again about the letter S and did a worksheet on things that start with an S. We talked again about the color white and then made a snowman craft. The boys colored, glued, and practiced cutting again today and did some stickers.

We then had a snack and off to pick up Bryce.

Everyone washed hands, prayed and ate. The boys had the same lunch from Wed and Elliott again cleaned his plate.

I couldn't get Elliott to go in the potty today, he had a messy diaper this morning.

Oliver was very clinging today compared to Wed. He wanted to be held a lot and wasn't happy when I couldn't. He ate very well for both meals and had 2 cups of milk. He enjoyed the puppet show and did have short periods where he would play contently. He enjoyed story time and singing. He LOVED to snuggle me today (which I didn't mind at all :-) No messy diapers yet from him just 2 wet ones.

Thursday

Miss Lilly was a little emotional this morning and was falling while walking again. We were low key while the big boys were at school today. I let her watch some Barney to "cool down" a bit. After that we did a letter "S" lesson. I helped her draw and trace the letter S and then we talked about things that start with S. She had a good time crossing out and circling pictures. Then she wanted to color. I planned on trying her out at scissors and making a snowflake, but she said "no" and I wasn't going to push since she wasn't in the best mood today. Mr. Kobe was a grump a lump today too this morning. As you can see he didn't nap long so he was with Lilly and me during "school" time. I sat him down with a coloring book and crayons and was happy to see that he enjoyed scribbling. I guess it is kind of nice that he doesn't put things in his mouth.

Pick up went excellent today. I love that I finally asked the teachers to bring all 3 boys out to my car at 11! So much easier on me and the 2 little ones. Lilly was cracking up that I put her in the car with no shoes on!! I told her to get used to it since now we don't have to get out of the car at all!

Came home ate lunch with Lilly and Kobe while the big boys played in the basement (they haven't been eating well after school this week) so I thought if I didn't feed them until noon they would eat better. Lilly ate her mac n cheese and yogurt great (didn't want anything else), Tristan had cheese and apple (didn't touch his pb and white stuff)

Of course Kobe and Lilly decided to finally play nicely and be happy when it was time for nap! haha.

School went well, ask Tristan how he made his snow flake picture, he is so detailed in his explanation.

Wednesday

It was a busy but very fun morning! Everyone ate well for breakfast! The trip to and from preschool was a hit all around. Elliott loved taking the "big boy" as he called Bryce to school. He really looked up to him. In fact when we brought Bryce home I told the big boys to go wash hands. Bryce went to the potty and then before I knew it I walked in and Elliott took his diaper off all by himself and went pee in the big potty too! This morning while Bryce was away though I could smell the start of something from Elliott so I suggested the potty but he had no interest, sure enough a trip downstairs and there was a big #2 in his pants! Oliver also had a dirty diaper this morning.

Kobe took a morning nap. I thought Oliver wanted too as well, he laid his head on my shoulder when I was holding him and his eyes looked so heavy. Well he screamed murder so that was a no go until after lunch.

"School time" was a hit. We learned about the color white and what things are white. I was very impressed by Elliott both with his fine motor skills and knowledge. We talked about snow and how it feels and the letter S. We found things around the room that are white. We looked in books and found different animals that are white. We then focused on the sheep and how a sheep feels. The boys did a sheep craft with cotton balls. Glue was a hit! I was also shocked when they asked to use scissors. I wasn't expecting Elliott to know what to do with them but off he went cutting paper.

After our mini lesson. We sang some songs (your boys LOVE singing!) We sang old mcdonald, ABC's, and clean up songs. Oliver clapped and danced (so cute!)

We had a snack at 10 am. Oliver had his milk and cheerios, the big boys had pretzels, a few marshmallows and water.

Oliver ate all his lunch and I added grapes and milk. Elliott ate everything as well, I fed him turkey meatballs, veggie mac n cheese, grapes, and yogurt, with milk.

You are right, your boys LOVE to eat!

All down for naps by 12:30pm. Oliver fussed a bit but passed out after 15 minutes. I haven't heard a peep out of Elliott, he was so excited to sleep in a race car bed!
