Wednesday

 Wow I kept these kiddos busy busy today!  We had so much fun and I honestly can say there were no tears shed or tantrums made!  All kids were in super duper excellent moods.

Oh where to begin.....

Poops:  Alexa 2, Oliver 1, Elliott 1
Potty:  Elliott so far peed in the potty once, hoping for another before nap today.

Everyone at good for breakfast and super good for lunch (must have been all the activity of the morning)  Oliver had his packed foods with yogurt and grapes and bananas added in.  He is so good at feeding himself!  I served chicken nuggets (all natural) with cheese slices, yogurt, fruit, and pb crackers to the other kiddos.  Wow they LOVED the nuggets (I had to cut off Alexa after she ate 6!!!)  She kept saying and signing for more!  She ate all her grapes, cheese, yogurt and crackers too!  Def will be making the nuggets a once a week option.

So we started the morning with going outside since it's suppose to get really hot today.  We went outside from 8-9:30ish.  We did water balloons (was a big hit and alexa kept saying "pop" and Oliver kept saying "bawoon"  the older boys had a nice battle with them.  Then we swung, played frisbee, at the water table I put bubble bath in and that went over well, I also got the bubble machine running. 

Then we went out to the driveway and rode bikes (well Alexa pushed a stroller) and Kobe and O were in love with the wagon.  I put the elmo sprinkler on during that time.

Then it was time to go inside and strip out of wet clothes and get ready for "school" time.  we sang our songs about the rainforest and Bryce got out the parrot puppet to our parrot song.  Alexa and O got really into the songs and dancing.  Then Wendi came out and we did the weather (they love her)  she got lots of kisses.  WE talked about the sun and hot weather and what we need to wear when it's hot.  Then Bryce told us the day of the week.

I read the kids 3 facts about monkeys in the rainforest and then we read a book about a monkey.  We talked about what letter monkey starts with and what color a monkey is.  Then practiced the spanish word for monkey "mono"  Um yeah so Alexa and Oliver say mono better than they say monkey ha!

Then they did a monkey craft and we talked about what monkeys eat and counted bananas and fed our monkeys.

After that we had free play time in the basement and got ready for lunch time. 

After lunch the kids played in the play room for a bit while I cleaned up lunch and ate myself, now we are all down in the basement, the big kids are playing dinosaurs while the little ones play basketball with all the balls. 

It's just about time to clean up toys and get all 6 down for nap time!

Tuesday

 Fun fun morning!  Everyone ate well for breakfast and lunch.  We changed it up a bit and tried spagettios with cheese slices, fruit, yogurt, and pb crackers.  The wee ones thought the spagetti was ok but didn't devour it anything like their mac n cheese.  At least it was a little change.  Alexa loved the cheese and yogurt though and ate some of her pears and grapes.

Alexa's had 1 poop today so far. 

So we got out our Mother Goose time curriculum today!  We sang our songs and I showed Lilly, Alexa and Kobe the motions to them.  The theme for the summer is going to be "The rainforest".  Then wendy the weather girl puppet came out and talked to the kids and we did the weather and day of the week.  Lilly was a big helper because the babies didn't "get" what we were doing.  They'll catch on though.  We talked about what we wear when it's raining out, etc.  We did some coloring and stickers.

Then the big boys joined in and we talked about bats today.  What they eat, what color they are, what they do, and what nocturnal means.  We did some bat books with cutting and pasting and coloring,  Alexa and Kobe played with little bat puppets I made.  It went very well!

Then we went outside and played on the driveway since it was so wet from the rain.

Came back in and went in the basement to play.  I got the big kiddos to play our new cranium carnival games.  It was tricky with 2 babes who wanted to grab all the parts but after a lot of prompting it went well and was very educational!

Then the kids watched some pbs kids while I got lunch ready, we washed up and ate.  Now the big boys are playing wii while me and the wee ones hang out in the play room until nap time. 

Thursday

 Another excellent morning!  Everyone was in good moods.  Big kids loved "school" summer fun!  Lilly was so proud to tell me all about it and that Faith cried but she didn't!  It was nice to have them go somewhere and be productive without me racking my brain to figure something out!  Miss Shelli helped with the car pull!  She picked up my 2 boys.

Baby Syd is HUNGRY today!  She had a ton of cereal and started crying when it was finished so I gave her some bananas too and she woofed them!  Drank 5 oz at 9:30.  She took a cat nap in my arms when we were waiting to take the kiddos to summer fun at around 8.  Then napped from 9:45 until 11:15 upstairs.  She was angry when she woke and was a fuss bug during pick up from summer fun.  Came home and she woofed 2 cubes of sweet potatoes and 2 cubes of pinapple/strawberry.  After that she's been pleasant and is playing nicely by herself.

The two toddlers did some more stickers with Miss Lilly this morning and colored Elmo pictures.  The LOVE stickers!  Then while Syd was asleep we played outside and sang song and swang on the swing set.  It was beautiful out!  We also played in bubbles on the water table.  Came inside and had some lunch.  Made grilled cheese but Alexa wasn't into it (oh she ate her cereal just fine today).  So she has her usual again!

Poop Alert! ha!  Syd had 1 poo, Alexa had 2!!

Oh and the "new" yardsale bat cave was a huge hit for everyone!  I love it because it's meant for wee kiddos 1-5 years but the big boys like it because it's batman!

Wed

 Wow busy morning and it went by fast!  Everyone had so much fun!  Ok so first we had breakfast (Alexa wanted nothing!)  I tried her cereal with fruit, then a different oatmeal, then a nutragrain bar (she did eat 1/4 of that) I guess she just wasn't hungry (but then she pooped 2 times this morning so maybe that's why?)  She ate an excellent lunch though and pooped again around noon.

So after breakfast we played in the play room  until 9.  Then we went outside and ran around/swang, and played until 10.  I packed up lunches and we were out the door to the pet store.  The kids loved the pet store.  We saw bunnies, kitties, snakes, turtles, birds, rats (Alexa's fav!) YUCK, and lots and lots of fishies.

Then we got back in the car and ran to the mall for the library program kick off.  We had a story time and I signed the boys up for the mall's b-day club and got paperwork for Alexa for the library card program and the b-day club.  I got a bag of coupons for Alexa and she won an Eric Carl book!  Lots of fun!  The big boys got balloons and tattoos and won stuffed animals.

Got home right around noon and are now playing in the playroom and will be going down for naps very soon.  I don't even think Alexa's had a chance to even ask me to take a nap! ha!  super fast morning in deed!

Oh and the babies did stickers and coloring early this morning too!  Kobe loved the stickers thanks again!

 It's been a fun/lazy morning here!  Yucky outside so we've been keeping busy inside today.  Everyone is in a pleasant mood and all are playing very well together.  We started out our morning by creating our daddy's day craft.  Everyone had fun painting and then of course after the project was complete I let them go to town with painting another picture.  Alexa, Lilly and Bryce got really into it.  Kobe was a bit too young and ended up with paint in his hair and all over himself!  Oh well.

Everyone ate well for both meals.  It was the per usual selections.  Please if you want your kiddos eating more of a variety let me know, but they all eat super good, it has all the food groups in it and is super healthy so why mess with a good thing? ha!

Lots of poops this morning.  3 from Alexa.  We spent the rest of the morning playing up a storm in the basement and playroom.  WE read books, listened to music, watched elmo, coloring, singing.  The big boys had fun playing in Bryce's new bed.  They made a fort out of the bottom bunk.  Fun times!
