wednesday

Breakfast: pancakes, banana, milk (all ate very well especially paige and thomas each having 2.5 pancakes!)

Lunch: mac n cheese, yogurt, apples, choc. stars (all ate well, thomas and paige of course do to their huge breakfast didn't eat as much)

It's been a good morning although Hayden and Paige both did seem a little extra sleepy (and a bit grumpier than usual) I'm sure a good nap will keep the grumpies away!

We finished off our handprint ornaments (make sure to take yours home with you today!) Hayden and Bryce had a blast painting (for over an hour!) christmas ornaments and using "sprinkles" glitter. Then we went downstairs and played and of course had to watch Sesame Street.

After that we got our curriculum out and I pulled a few ideas out. We colored and did our old songs from a few months ago (the kids remembered them well and Paige and Thomas and Landon did the motions) We did the weather and talked a lot about snow and cold. We did the calendar too!

We then took a good chunk of time to read the Christmas story and the kiddos acted it out with the little people manger (it was fun to read the story and have the kids pick up the different characters/animals) We sang away in the Manger and practiced our motions.

The rest of the morning was free play until lunch.

After lunch the big boys went up to bryce's room and played extremely well with the choo choo's. Best friends Landon and Thomas played in the play room also very well (they just love each other) Paige hung out with me while I cleaned up lunch (she told me she is very excited to meet her new best gal friend Lilly :-)

It's been a great morning! We actually just played a lot! We did make a Christmas wreath today and Tristan did his ornament. All are playing so well together (the 3 big boys played in Bryce's room after lunch and did a super job) They even cleaned up after they were done.

We took Bryce to school too!

monday

Breakfast: pancakes, banana, milk

Lunch: apples, stuffed shells, yogurt, cake (thank you Hayden's grammy!)

Well it's been a good day! We spent a good chunk of the morning playing with home aid salt dough. We made our handprint ornaments (green this year) and then I made another batch of dough for the kiddos to make pretend cookie cut outs (that we will use to paint later in the week) All had an awesome time especially bryce, hayden, and paige. Landon and Thomas had fun too but they were more interested in tasting it (yuck!) We talked about the different christmas cookie shapes and what they mean at Christmas time. (bells, angels, santa, trees, stars, reindeer, sleighs, snowmen)

We then went downstairs and made winter scenes out of stickers. Thomas finally "gets" stickers and only attempted to eat them once! Yeah for Thomas. We read Christmas books and Bryce and Hayden played a Christmas cookie matching game having to do with numbers. They also played another card game I made up to see how could say what the picture of the card was first (they loved this!)

We sang and danced to Christmas music and the rest of the morning was free play until lunch. All ate well at both meals. All in bed by noon.

thomas has had 2 poos today (must have eaten a lot over the weekend :-)

Oh and I added some pics from saturday enjoy!

thursday

Breakfast: fiber poptarts, banana, milk
Lunch: fluffer nutter sandwhiches, milk, apples, yogurt (all ate very well especially lunch today! Who knew marsh pb sand. would have been such a hit! Hayden and Tristan ate a whole sandwhich each!

Great day, all in good moods and played very well today. We took Bryce to school then played in the basement. We decorated christmas trees since Tristan missed out yesterday. We talked again about angels and stars and their meaning at christmas. We read Christmas stories and practiced our song "Away in the Manger" and "Twinkle little star" They then colored some more christmas pages and we talked about Christmas colors.

It was surprisingly nice out and the kiddos got out and about for over an hour today (you could tell they need some fresh air and running around!!!)

FYI: I have many Christmas activities planned for us over the next 3 weeks. 1 activity is decorating gingerbread houses and the other is throwing a birthday party for Jesus the week of Christmas (Tues) since Bryce doesn't have school I'm going to steal my Church's theme and do a day long birthday party with lots of games and activities.

So if you would like to donate any items for these projects here's what I'm going to need to purchase:

- Toddler friendly candies for the houses (the candy the kits gave could choke our little ones) Things like gummies, m&ms, licorice, craisens for the bigger kiddos

-Items to decorate cupcakes with for the birthday party, any other fun party supplies (I think I might do the open a present game where you pass it around in a circle, maybe we'll make a pinata if I can find out how?, we are decorating your own cupcake

Thanks!

wednesday

Breakfast: pancakes, banana and apples, milk (all ate well)
Lunch: mac n cheese, fruit salad, milk, pb crackers (all ate well)

Good morning. Hayden and Thomas were a bit grumpy (but so from not napping yesterday) I had to put Hayden down for a nap at 11:30 because he had a break down (he quieted down right away so I'm hoping that means he fell asleep right away!)

We talked more about angels and the Christmas star today. Thomas and Bryce made their angels and had lots of fun with paint!

We read many Christmas books including 2 about the Christmas story of Baby Jesus!

We sang and danced to Christmas songs and sang "happy birthday" to Jesus (I think we might have a mini birthday party for Jesus the week of Christmas!)

the kiddos also colored some Christmas Sesame street pics and we talked about the color green and that it's found a lot at Christmas time.

The kids also did a sticker craft and decorated individual trees.

Hope everyone is having a good day!

***Carver's I need Hayden's library book back tomorrow I need to return them friday!

Thanks,
ashley

tuesday

Breakfast: fiber 1 poptarts, bananas and apples, milk (all ate well)
Lunch: grilled cheese sand., fruit salad, yogurt, milk (all ate well except Thomas and Paige were more into throwing their food on the floor today!)

Great day! Everyone is in an excellent mood and all are playing well. We took Bryce to school then we came home. We talked about angels today and about the Christmas story. Hayden, Tristan, and Paige made angels (will do the others another day this week) The used their handprints for the wings and decorated them.

Afterward we went downstairs and listened, danced, and sang to Christmas music.

We read some books, and had free play time until about 10:15.

To my surprise the sunshine warmed up the outside and we actually got to go out and play for almost an hour today! I think the kiddos were in shock!

The big boys played upstairs after lunch and the little ones played in the playroom.

All are sleeping (hoping Thomas is too!)

monday

breakfast: pancakes, milk
lunch: spagettios, butter bread, cheese slices, fruit salad (all ate well for both meals except Paige didn't eat much at lunch)

Great day! All are in good moods (Paige is a little fussier than usual but I think it's because of her cold) The big boys played very well together this morning and Paige and Landon hung out together.

We painted christmas trees today and decorated them with stickers. Hayden and Bryce also helped me with making a green treat for preschool tomorrow. They each made their own christmas wreath treat and then ate it (they had a blast!)
