sorry lack of pics, my camera died this morning!

Breakfast poptarts and bananas with milk

Lunch: pb and marsh on wheat, cherries, cheese slices, and milk

It was a good morning. We stayed busy inside (too hot outside!) We painted pictures of fireworks and talked about what colors we saw and how they sounded.

We then went downstairs and played the rest of the morning. We did school time today and talked about the food group meats. We made a graph of our favorite meats (which was funny since my kids and the carver kids don't eat much meat!) but they pretended they loved fish and stuff! haha

Then we colored and practiced cutting (which I was very impressed by Tristan's cutting skills!) They cut out different meats and pasted them in a dish. We then cut out pics in magazines of meats.

We did the weather and calendar days. Lilly loved the Mother Goose songs (we sang all of them and danced a bunch)

Lilly was grumpy starting around 10:15, I thought she just wanted attention but it was more like she was tired! She slept through lunch but ate at the same time :-) Then all the sudden she spit out some milk and perked up! She's now up playing with the carver kiddos in the play room, the Rankins and Tristan are up in Bryce's room playing for about 5 more minutes until nap time.

I practiced coloring with Lilly (she got it kind of) and she did try to eat the crayon a few times, but seemed to enjoy it!

Ok let's hope for some long naps today!
