Thursday

Well it's been a morning of blood, sweat, and tears (literally!)
Blood: Tristan was running downstairs and ran into the wall (ouch) He was ok but I told him no more running, well about 2 hours later, him and Bryce running in the opposite direction = a bloody lip Tristan!!!! It was bad, blood everywhere!! Of course he's fine and we are all cleaned up now. His lip is sore but I've been putting aquaphore on it to keep it moist

Sweat: It's hot outside!

Tears: oh my it was a rough morning with my Bryce. Let's just say he got zero sleep and he took it out on all the kids! That and he was down for nap at 11:00

So we went outside at 8 before it got too terribly hot. 8-9 was great! It was nice in the shade. WE painted, and played.

Then came inside and watched sesame street and had our bloody happenings. So that took a while to clean up (had to get the steam vac out and all!)

We sang songs and finally around 10:30 I had to start lunch because Bryce and others were falling apart. We had lunch and then Bryce went to bed and the other boys played in Landon's room while Lilly and Paige played in the play room.

Breakfast: pancakes, waffles, bananas, milk

Lunch: abc's 123's, applesauce, cheese (yogurt for Lilly) and milk

All ate well except my 2 (big surprise!) Landon is still sick. Lilly ate great and check out the pics I let her at her milk today and she kept taking sips by herself yes she made a mess but I was excited she drank from her own cup!!!.

As for her bottom, wowza sore and bleedy!!! I've changed her 5 times this morning and put cream and powder on each time (she had some huge messy poops)

Hayden is a little emotional/fussy today (I hope he naps because he needs it!) Him and sissy had like 4 servings of apple sauce (they acted like it was candy)

Oh and back to Tristan busting his lip open so he was more upset by the fact I had to take his shirt off!!!

Paige was really into painting today, she I would have to say was my star kiddo today (no issues with good ole sissy :-) haha

So that was our morning, yes it was crazy but we had fun!

Also:

-Vogt's need diapers, and lilly needs spare clothes
-Sissy needs spare clothes!

Wed

Breakfast: poptarts, banana, milk
Lunch: mac n cheese, pears, milk
All ate well for breakfast, not so great for lunch (although i knew it because they had pretzels at the movies!)

Good morning! We took Bryce to school then off we went to the movie theater for a free movie. WE saw the Barnyard. The kiddos (well Landon) lasted about 45 minutes. They loved it. Sissy kept squeeling and saying, oh my a _____ cow, duck, pig (haha) Landon made animal sounds. Hayden was a little scared at first and covered his ears but quickly got over it and liked it.

We then ran around (literally) the mall and played in the arcade and rode on some rides.

We picked up Bryce and then home for lunch and naps (I'm pooped and the kiddos looked soooooooooo sleepy!)

Bryce learned about bugs today at school. He told me at lunch, insects have 6 legs and spiders have 8!

I think Landon is getting sick. I had to wake him at 9 today and he sounded horse. He sneezes and huge snot rockets come a flying :-( Then what really took me by surprise was at lunch he didn't eat and I said, do you want to go to bed, he said "BED" and ran up to his bed and closed his door (not a peep out of him since!) and he didn't even have is cars!

Tuesday

Breakfast: whole wheat banana choc chip bread, banana, milk

Lunch: pb and marsh on wheat, cheese slices (Lilly had yogurt), cantaloupe, milk

All ate very well today! Paige woofed both meals and had no crumbs left!!! Was she starved over the weekend :-) Lilly ate well and let me add (all by herself!!!!!) I broke up the sandwich in little pieces and cut up the fruit and she did great! Just a few thrown at the very end when she was done! She didn't drink much milk though.

Good day! It was yucky out so we stayed in :-( We read books and talked about our weekend. The kids had a rough start and were fighting a lot in the beginning but by the end they learned once again how to co-exist.

We did school time today (although I'm almost totally out of curriculum!) So I made stuff up! We did the calendar/weather. Lilly loves Wendy! WE sang all of our songs and made a beach scene.

Landon had his last speech evaluation today! It went great and it was sad to see Miss Karen go! The big boys played upstairs after lunch and did well while the girls hung out in the play room.

Thursday

Breakfast poptarts and bananas with milk

Lunch: pb and marsh on wheat, cherries, cheese slices, and milk

It was a good morning. We stayed busy inside (too hot outside!) We painted pictures of fireworks and talked about what colors we saw and how they sounded.

We then went downstairs and played the rest of the morning. We did school time today and talked about the food group meats. We made a graph of our favorite meats (which was funny since my kids and the carver kids don't eat much meat!) but they pretended they loved fish and stuff! haha

Then we colored and practiced cutting (which I was very impressed by Tristan's cutting skills!) They cut out different meats and pasted them in a dish. We then cut out pics in magazines of meats.

We did the weather and calendar days. Lilly loved the Mother Goose songs (we sang all of them and danced a bunch)

Lilly was grumpy starting around 10:15, I thought she just wanted attention but it was more like she was tired! She slept through lunch but ate at the same time :-) Then all the sudden she spit out some milk and perked up! She's now up playing with the carver kiddos in the play room, the Rankins and Tristan are up in Bryce's room playing for about 5 more minutes until nap time.

I practiced coloring with Lilly (she got it kind of) and she did try to eat the crayon a few times, but seemed to enjoy it!

Ok let's hope for some long naps today!

Wednesday

Breakfast: poptarts, bananas, milk

Lunch: pb and marsh on wheat, apples, cheese slices, milk

Everyone ate well today!

We spent the morning playing inside again, it's just too hot out there!

We played some barn yard fun game before taking Bryce to school (Hayden had a blast!)

We did playdough for a while. Landon was trying to eat it again but the Carver kiddos did well with it.
Then our buddy Ian came over to play for a while (and the kids had fun showing off for him) I had them practice saying his name. It was cute, Landon said E-FGHIJKLMNO.....

We played downstairs the rest of the morning and when Ian left we did the weather and day of week/month.

Then had some lunch and off to pick up Bryce.

The carvers played in the playroom and the Rankin boys upstairs after lunch (I don't know why Hayden hasn't wanted to play with the boys this week?)

Tuesday

Breakfast: whole grain choc chip muffins, milk
Lunch: grilled cheese on wheat, cherries, yogurt, milk
Everyone ate well for breakfast. The Carver kiddos did not eat much at lunch today (I noticed last week they weren't eating much at lunch either??

Today it was so HOT!!! 100 degrees so no way were we going outside today! We stayed inside in the nice air conditioning! The kids were all great and in good moods today. We played and read early in the morning then did school time from 10-11 for a change (haven't done it since May!)

We sang our Mother Goose Time songs (and Wendy our weather girl joined in) they were so excited to see her! We did the weather and the day of the week/month. We talked about hot and what we wear when it's hot outside.

We then did 2 activities.

#1: We learned the difference between stomping and tip toeing (so funny) Hayden and Bryce got it but the other two just kind of looked at us in a funny way. The kids made a sign with one side a dino who was stomping and the other he's tip toeing (we played a game with the signs then)

#2: We made flash cards reviewing the shapes, numbers, colors that we learned. The kids colored them and then the two oldest boys cut them out (yes it took like 30 minutes but they did it all by themselves!

Then we ate lunch and the Rankin boys played choo choo's upstairs while the Carver's (hayden wanted to play with sissy) played in the playroom while I cleaned up lunch.

Thursday

Breakfast: waffles, banana, milk

Lunch: turkey and cheese sandwhich, yogurt, cherries, and cookie

All ate great!!! They were so excited about the cookies (orea cakesters) that they woofed their food!

Fun morning! We played outside for most of it! Sorry for lack of pics (my camera battery died!) I blew up the bounce house and Tristan, Hayden, and Bryce and Paige played in there for almost the entire time! Landon and Lilly swang a lot! Oh and because lilly was around Landon a good bit she is a pro at singing all aboard the choo choo train song!

Everyone seems in good spirits today! Paige is having an obsession about bugs and being scared of them for some reason.

Lilly ate great today but will not drink much! I will give her more milk after nap (I changed her about 3 times this morning and her butt is pretty raw even though I put on cream each time?)

Paige needs diapers and Hayden is running low on pull-ups (he's peed in every singe one this week during nap time for some reason)
