sorry no pics today :-( I temporarily lost the cam (found it just a few minutes ago!)
breakfast: blueberry pancakes, banana, milk
lunch: pb and j, mand. oranges, cheese slices, milk
All ate well at all meals!
Today the kids were all well behaved (Hayden once again was great once his daddy left ) oh 3 year olds!
They played downstairs for quite a while first thing. We read tons of books and I was really concentrating on animal sounds with the little ones. Thomas says baa baa for every animal haha and Landon says arf arf for all the animals too!
We learned about spiders today (Hayden's favorite!) Each child got a pretend black spider that we used to read our pumpkin story. Every time they heard the word pumpkin they clapped 2 times (even the little ones clapped!)
We then had create play with our spiders and some water and a pitcher. We sang the itsy bitsy spider and used our spiders to climb and then used the pitcher of water for the rain falling down (they loved it!) Paige and Thomas were on a mission to feel the water!
Next we made spider webs out of yarn and put our spiders in their homes.
We read our halloween book and picked out the spiders.
Then Hayden requested the bug song (so we sang that) Landon finally is starting to do the motions (so cute!)
Oh and of course we did the weather and day of week/month
Oh and another "Boy thing" today. Bryce and Hayden found their first fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar and just fell in love. They put it in a bucket and put some grass in it. They kept picking it up (very gently saying, Awe, I wuv you caterpillar) and then Bryce kissed it! haha
Have a good day!

tuesday

Breakfast: fiber poptart, banana, milk (all ate well)
Lunch: spagetties, peaches, pudding, milk (all ate well and were very messy!!!)
All the kiddos played great today! Hayden was in an excellent mood (after his parents left of course! haha) Not much fightings at all. Everyone in good spirits!
We played this morning until it was time to take Bryce to preschool. When we got home the big boys did a pumpkin wind sock craft (we talked about pumpkins and how they are orange)
We then went downstairs and since the kiddos were all in such great moods we spent a good chunk of time just free playing (they really got into the cars today!) We did colors with the cars (Tristan got most of his colors right!) We sang the ABC's and wheels on the bus (they weren't into the curriculum songs today (playing too much!) We did do the weather and day of week/month.
The rest of the morning we went outside and played! Once again the 4 kiddos did great, no tears today at all!
Thomas needs some more shirts and I think he has 1 pair of pants left here.
Oh by the way I am working on more independence for the bigger boys. They know how to wash hands and dry them (Tristan needs a little help still but really want's to do it himself) Taking off shoes when we come inside. Taking off coats when we get inside. For the little ones we are working on safely going up and down stairs.
Just wanted to let you know so you can help out at home :-)
*** Oh here is a little something to make you giggle today (Tristan fell on his rear today and stood up and kept rubbing it saying "my butt" he continued to do so and followed me around saying "Ashy my butt!" I said "What would you like me to do for you Tristan?" he answers, "kiss it Ashy!" hahahaha!!
Thanks,
Ashley

monday

Breakfast: apples, with pancakes, milk (all ate well)
Lunch : perogies, peaches, yogurt, pb crackers and milk (all ate well most got seconds)
Good day! Everyone seemed a little worn out from the weekend (everyone passed out as soon as I put them in bed at noon (even Tristan and I'm in the room with him as I type!)
We had some fighting issues with the 3 oldest this morning (all were equally at fault) lets just say I had 3 boys in different corners for time out and after that I had no other problems with that issue.
Tristan had some issues with bullying today (he was constantly picking on Landon) Putting stuff in his hair outside and pushing (gee is this Bryce?) He got some time outs (had a few in the highchair because he wouldn't sit for me (which he usually does)
Paige wanted me to hold her all morning but was in a good mood (not walking much at all today the little stinker!)
Hayden is in a good mood (only had the one issue in the early morning)
Thomas seemed sleepy but played well and really was getting into things outside!
I moved our preschool table up in the upstairs playroom (since we moved crafts upstairs) and now I have the big boys eatting meals in there as well. They loved eating there!!! They sat the entire time (my rule is you may not get up until I wipe you off and you brush your teeth!) If they disobey they will sit out at the kitchen for the next meal (which they don't want to do!) I will try Landon in a few weeks and then Paige and Thomas in a few months (soon they'll all be out there!) and the highchairs will be gone!!! Yeah!
Each child got a little pumpkin (The big boys painted them) and the little kiddos got washable/non-toxic markers to color theirs with. All had a blast (oh and we looked at our pumpkins under our magnifying glasses again and described what we saw.
We read tons of books at the table (some Halloween some not!) We did out 5 little pumpkins play a few times. We sang songs like the wheels on the bus (Paige says "round and round", itsy spider, abc's (Landon and Paige are singing along to this now!)
We went downstairs and did the weather, day of week/month (Thomas helped put Wendy's scarf on (it's cold out today!)
We listened to music (because we took the table out there is a huge area for the kiddos to move around, so no one was interested in a formal lesson) They ran around and free-played.
We then went outside for a half hours. Everyone loved running around outside. Like I said before, Thomas was on a mission to just explore, Landon seemed to follow him around a bit! Tristan and Bryce hung out with their trucks and Paige and Hayden spent a good amount of time swinging.
Had my first yucky boy encounter today! Tristan came up to me outside and said, "here Ashy!" I held out my hand thinking he was going to give me a leaf or something. I screamed and jumped when I discovered he put a big, fat, wiggling worm in my hand!!!! YUCK!! He laughed so loud when I screamed (boys will be boys!
Oh and Thomas and Tristan were best buddies today inside (they were copying each other!)
-Paige needs diapers (Hayden has about 3 pull ups left)

thursday

Breakfast: cereal (rice crispies with milk and banana) all ate well
Lunch: mac n cheese, grapes, pudding, and monkey munch (the kids loved the monkey munch!!!)
took bryce to school this morning. The other kiddos seemed to want to just free play when we got home (even when I asked if they wanted to do a craft). Tristan seemed sleepy and when I asked him he said "yes I seepy". So they played very well downstairs for a while
We then did do our weather and day of week/month (all participated)
We had book time and read tons of books (Spot's halloween too!)
I tried to sing and dance with the kids but no one was into it today (not even Tristan, so it was short lived) Oh well I guess we all have those days.
All the kids then painted with water (loved it!!) Paige and landon dumped their water on the paper and then slapped their hands in it (FUN!!)
The rest of the morning we went outside until it was time to pick up Bryce
Hayden and Tristan found acorns outside the preschool and were very excited!
Good day for all, everyone was ready for a nap after lunch! Thomas joined the gang today around 11:15, so lunch was busy busy busy!!!
Tristan went on potty 2 times, Hayden had no accidents!

wednesday

Breakfast: wheat blueberry pancakes, banana, milk (all ate well, little ones had 2 huge pancakes each!)
Lunch: Pb and J on whole wheat, grapes, cheese, milk (all cleaned their plate!!!!)
Good day! The little ones are in good spirits and played very well this morning. Bryce and Hayden had their usual morning squalls (but both had an enjoyable morning)
We read tons of books this morning again. I also let the kids jump all over me (I'm starting to get bruises from the big guys!)
Next we had craft/art time!!! We made pumpkin patch papers. I showed the kiddos that if you take red and yellow and mix you get orange. We did this mix thing 3 times. Then the kids used their fingers and brushes to make pumpkins on their papers. When they were finished we did some play dough time (first time for Paige and Thomas!) They did well (of course tasted it) but really got into squishing it. Thomas screamed at me when it was time to clean up (he loved it and loved playing with different cookie cutters)
We then went downstairs and did the weather, day of week/month. Hayden told us it was windy and sunny. Thomas and Landon dressed our weather girl for the weather. Paige and Hayden and Bryce put stickers up on the calendar.
We then looked at our flash cards (color orange and letter P) We looked for orange things and things that started with P (just so happened Thomas pooped (which started with P) Paige made the cutest PPPPP sound! Hayden and Bryce has their colors down cold!
We finished by reading our Halloween Spot book and talked about Halloween.
Paige told me "good night" when I put her down for her nap! haha
I think that's about it! have a good day!

tuesday

Breakfast: fiber cinamon pop tart, banana, milk (all ate very well)
Lunch : spagetties, pudding, grapes, milk (all ate very well again)
Paige (Miss Independent) refused to eat her spagettios and pudding from me so I put her in a full bib and let her go to town (she was a mess!) but ate very good! She was so snuggly today with me. At one point she crawled up on my lap and bear hugged me and would not let go of me!
Hayden is having a good day, playing well, no accidents, told me "I love you" hee hee
Tristan went potty 2 times (but also in his diaper once) both he and hayden used the big potty with success. He and Bryce haven't gotten along too well today (and they only saw each other for a few minutes at a time!
We took Bryce to school, then came home and had craft time (Tristan did sand art with his pumpkin picture and Hayden did a bat craft) paige and landon colored at their high chairs. Big success, all had lots of fun.
We then went downstairs and sang all of our songs and danced. We practiced our fall poems/plays (Paige is getting good at the bug song, bum bum bum!)
Tristan told us the weather and put sunglasses on wendy our weather girl. We did the day of the week/month too.
We read our spot halloween big book and discussed the decorations and the colors we saw.
We played pin the stem on the pumpkin
Finally Tristan and Hayden played the card game again with the scarecrows and pumpkins (with counting and numbers) they did a great job!
We spent the rest of the morning outside (didn't even need jackets by then) its so nice out!

monday and the fall fest!

Breakfast: whole grain blueberry pancakes (choc. chip minimuffins), banana, milk (had to give muffins out when the piggies still wanted more! Everyone ate very well.
Lunch: Periogies, pudding, grapes (all had seconds, paige had thirds!)
Great day! We spent a good half hour having a cuddle fest (everyone wanted to give me hugs and kisses and of course climb all over me :-)
We read all of our new books that I got over the weekend at the Library book sale. We practiced our pumpkin and tree plays.
Next we had craft time (in the kitchen) were we colored pumpkins. We talked about the color orange and then the big boys painted with glue and put orange sand on all the kids pumpkins. Craft time was a big success (I think we will be having it in the kitchen for now on unless it's just coloring. It keeps the little ones at the seat better!
Then we went downstairs and did our weather, day of week/month. Landon got to put the sun on our weather girl for the first time! We practiced saying Monday and October.
Next we read a big book "Spot's Halloween Party" we talked about the pumpkins in the book. Then we played a game (pin the stem on the pumpkin) everyone loved the game and did a great job at putting their stem on the pumpkin (Paige ran away with her stem :-)
We then got out a big pumpkin and a little pumpkin and talked about big and little. We weighed the big pumpkin and little pumpkin. Then all the kids wanted to weigh themselves too :-) Very fun!
We learned a new scarecrow poem/play.
Hayden and Bryce played a card game with matching the number a scarecrow was holding to a card with the number of pumpkins (they did a very good job!)
We played outside the rest of the morning (it was so nice out!) hoping to get out this afternoon too!
All are in very good moods. Hayden had no accidents today and went on the big potty every time! He has been a little "scared" of things today. Paige is also happy as can be. Although she wanted held outside the entire time and cried if I put her down. She was singing the clean up song again. She also now brings me pretend food and goes "YUM!" Thomas is talking a bunch today and is very happy and just loving playing, playing, playing!!! He was carrying around our Elmo trick or treat basket all morning and I was trying to get him to say "trick or treat!" No luck he just laughed at me!
REmember to take your kiddos craft with you today!
