Breakfast: whole grain blueberry pancakes (choc. chip minimuffins), banana, milk (had to give muffins out when the piggies still wanted more! Everyone ate very well.
Lunch: Periogies, pudding, grapes (all had seconds, paige had thirds!)
Great day! We spent a good half hour having a cuddle fest (everyone wanted to give me hugs and kisses and of course climb all over me :-)
We read all of our new books that I got over the weekend at the Library book sale. We practiced our pumpkin and tree plays.
Next we had craft time (in the kitchen) were we colored pumpkins. We talked about the color orange and then the big boys painted with glue and put orange sand on all the kids pumpkins. Craft time was a big success (I think we will be having it in the kitchen for now on unless it's just coloring. It keeps the little ones at the seat better!
Then we went downstairs and did our weather, day of week/month. Landon got to put the sun on our weather girl for the first time! We practiced saying Monday and October.
Next we read a big book "Spot's Halloween Party" we talked about the pumpkins in the book. Then we played a game (pin the stem on the pumpkin) everyone loved the game and did a great job at putting their stem on the pumpkin (Paige ran away with her stem :-)
We then got out a big pumpkin and a little pumpkin and talked about big and little. We weighed the big pumpkin and little pumpkin. Then all the kids wanted to weigh themselves too :-) Very fun!
We learned a new scarecrow poem/play.
Hayden and Bryce played a card game with matching the number a scarecrow was holding to a card with the number of pumpkins (they did a very good job!)
We played outside the rest of the morning (it was so nice out!) hoping to get out this afternoon too!
All are in very good moods. Hayden had no accidents today and went on the big potty every time! He has been a little "scared" of things today. Paige is also happy as can be. Although she wanted held outside the entire time and cried if I put her down. She was singing the clean up song again. She also now brings me pretend food and goes "YUM!" Thomas is talking a bunch today and is very happy and just loving playing, playing, playing!!! He was carrying around our Elmo trick or treat basket all morning and I was trying to get him to say "trick or treat!" No luck he just laughed at me!
REmember to take your kiddos craft with you today!
Ash
