sorry this is a little late (we got a new laptop (well it's used)) and it took me a while to get things working with the pics. good news is that I will get internet access during naptime!!! yeah
breakfast: wheat pancakes, banana, milk (all ate well
lunch: periogies, yogurt, grapes, milk and cookie (pumpkin sugar cookies that bryce made at his grandparents house! All ate well except paige (she was very cranky late morning, wanted to be held from 9:30 on) Nose was running and she looked really tired.
This morning we spent time talking about what we did over the weekend. We read lots of books upstairs and the boys were having a grand time with the fire fighter hats. I try not to have the tv on past 8:30 but at 8:30 dinasour train came on pbs and Thomas went crazy!! He was dancing and pointing and just having a ball! haha
We then went downstairs were we did the weather (sun shine) yeah! and calendar.
We talked about the color of pumpkins orange with green stems. Then we made pumpkin chain links with paper and hung them up. The kids had fun with this project. Hayden and Bryce made the circles and taped them together while the littles ones threw the paper in the air and danced.
We sang our songs and practiced our poems.
We went around the room and found orange objects.
Next each child got a jumping orange spider. We sang itsy bitsy then I showed them how to make them jump. We had spider races.
The rest of the morning I took advantage of the sunshine and we played outside for about an hour and a half! They needed to run after a week of inside play. They helped me to wash off some of the outdoor slides so that I can put them in the basement for the rest of the fall/winter :-( so we can pretend we are outside.
Everyone is having a good day. Hayden had a fussy period where he just cried about anything you can imagine (he had some alone time and afterward perked up!) Thomas is exploring today (in the sandbox big time), Paige seemed like she needed to rest (fell right to sleep). Landon is much better today (had a cold over the weekend)
Thomas will need diapers soon, Paige will need some too.
**Might want to start bringing real play shoes for Paige (like from walmart or target), she is walking really well now and I've noticed that the dew on the grass is soaking through those shoes she has (which I still think are at your house and she wore Thomas's today :-)
